I began teaching in 2009 when the Academy of Music and Sound in Southampton employed me to teach their brand new Foundation Degree Music Technology course, based around Pro Tools.

Since then, I have produced entire courses around Music Production for Academy of Music and Sound, developed course material for Point Blank Music School and taught Music Production at Degree and BTEC levels.

I have also sat on the Curriculum Development panel for Academy of Music and Sound, helping to develop their music production pathway with a view to enhancing experience, engagement and success.

I am a certified Pro Tools Instructor for Avid Technology - taking Pro Tools 101 and 110 course across the country in Pro Tools Training Locations.

I am available for private tutoring sessions for BTEC and Degree students that want to ensure themselves the highest grades that they're able to achieve in their courses.

In 1-2-1 sessions that can take place in person or over Skype, I can coach students of all levels on the following:

• Music production techniques : mixing, mastering, EQ, compression, advanced routing, etc
• Composition techniques
• What to include in written reports, evaluations, dissertations, etc.
• Harvard referencing technique
• Design and presentation

Although the "university side" of a practical music course can be quite dry, it's really important to look at the written guidance that students are given so that they know what's being looked for in their submissions.

The guidances and briefs for all courses tend to be written very broadly, and can sometimes cover multiple pathways, so I can look at the guidance that you've been given and put it into words you'll understand.

Lessons are conducted by Skype with screen sharing and full audio stream so students can hear properly. Good quality headphones and/or speakers will be required.

Private tutoring is £25 per hour, paid for in advance of the lesson by Cash, BACS, or Paypal.
